Pikes Peak Region

Seeking Music Submissions

Our ongoing project to create a musical brand for El Paso and Teller Counties kicks off with Sounds of the Pikes Peak Region. The first CD, to be released in fall 2008, will feature the music of 12-15 diverse musicians actively performing in the Pikes Peak Region. The resulting CD will be an eclectic soundtrack for our region!

With this CD, we aim to:
Showcase the diverse musical talent in our region
Attract people and businesses to the region
Appeal to a broad base of musical tastes
Replace conventional background music in places of business, telephone hold lines, the airport, etc.

Submission criteria:
Musicians must perform original music and songs submitted for review must be wholly original (no covers)
Musicians must have lived in and been active in the music community for at least 18 months
Submitted recordings must be of reasonably good quality
Musicians must have some kind of online presence
Submitted tracks must be free of any obscenities
